Despite some bad weather forcasts, which cooled us down on Wednesday and Thursday, the Študentska arena happening was still joyful and activated to a 100%. What went on in the student city, what information the young could gather and how exactly did they get activated you are able to see in the photogalley here:

Inauguration of the  12^th Študentska arena will be on Tuesday, 18th October 2011, at 1 p.m. The opening will take place on Student stage in Steklena Hall (C) of the Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre (Gospodarsko razstavišče, Ljubljana).

Študentska arena will be inaugurated by Mr. Andrej Beloglavec, Acting Head of the Representation of the European Commission in Slovenia. Mr. Janez Levec, Director of the organizing company Proevent and Ms. Ana Pleško, President and representative of the co-organizer ŠOU v Ljubljani will welcome the visitors.

Entertainment will be provided by the sensational SheDivaz, the musician Darko Nikolovski and the excellent dancers of ProDance Studio.

This years Študentska arena will activate all visitors to a 100%. You will be able to visit:

• theathre, musci, dance and other performances on Student Stage,
• many interesting lectures and workshops in 4 lecture rooms and at the Arena Crossing,
• sports and other activities on the outern platform.

Some activation will be also needed:

• while visiting all the exhibitions spaces, where more than 190 participants will be presenting an offer,
• and while visiting the Univeristy Corner, curated by the University of Ljubljana.

This year Študentska arena will gather participants from all over the world in order to fully activate the young. Many programme activities, participants and other will be presenting an offer from 18 to 20 October 2011 at the Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre.

The Študentska arena team is already preparing all educational programme activities, a photo competition ending on 4 October and a list of all participants.

In the Early-bird application deadline more than 90 participants decided to take part in this year's Študentska arena. The importance of this event, along with its fair, education and acoompanying activities, which we carefully prepare for the young each year, has been noticed also by many organizations and companies.

This year Študentska arena attracted:

• 150 exhibitors and
• 17,900 visitors.

With a special touch of communication and an attractive exhibition space all young visitors chose Slovenian Police as their Best Exhibitor and decided to give them the transitional award Zlati Ščit (the Golden Shield).
