YOUTH ON THE MOVE. YOUTH@WORK

European Union initiative, Youth on the Move, presents you the possibilities to obtain new results through mobility – degrees, new jobs, stage and training, your own enterprise and many more opportunities. That's why you shouldn't miss Youth on the Move exhibition space where 17 different institutions and programmes will be presented in order to help you move and work in Europe. There you can see extraordinary performances and interesting lecturing and discussion.

You can also listen to some particularly deep lecturing and discussions in the conference room. If you are interested in entrepreneurship, take some time on Wednesday. In the framework of Youth@Work, the European programme aimed at stimulating Entrepreneurship among young people, a complex of daily presentations, conferences and discussions will be prepared in order to help you develop your own enterprise potentials.

More information on mobility opportunities to study and workwill be presented on Thursday when the programme will be prepared by the Employment Service of the Republic of Slovenia (EURES) and the Career Centre of the University of Ljubljana.
 
 
SHANGHAI EDUCATION FAIR 2011

24 among the best Shanghai schools and universities will present themselves on this year's Student Arena in the frame of "Shanghai Education Fair 2011". Visiting their exhibition space is a must for all those who keep on looking for the best and the quickest new challenges at home or abroad.
 
"NOTHING BUT THE BEAT" - PREMIERE IN SLOVENIA

DAVID GUETTA, one of the most wanted world DJs and producers, in cooperation with Burn energy drink filmed the story on how his music got on the biggest stadiums and among hit parade tops all over the world. Enjoy a movie journey together with Guetta through 10 capitol cities and his everyday life; discover the stories that Kelly Rowland, Snoop Dogg, Will.I.Am, Fatboy Slim, David Morales and many others told about him. Be among the first persons to see the premiere documentary movie during the conclusive part of Student Arena.
 
AKEŠ OXYGEN BAR (AKEŠEV KISIK BAR)

TABLE FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

The Table Football Association Blisk, with its 5 year activity and under the coverage of the Slovenia Table Football League, is organizing a friendly table football tournament on Thursday, 20th October 2011. If you are able with your hands and competitive, you are the right candidate to participate in the tournament.

CLOTHES SWAP

Exchanging clothes at the Ecologists Without Borders booth is an opportunity to get rid of clothes you don't wear any longer refreshing at the same time your wardrobe for the new school year. The exchanging takes place according to the bring 5, take 5 away principle. Old clothes, earrings, bags, fashion accessories and home textilies can be given away freely. Clothes must be cleaned and shoes in pairs. The event is taking place in the frame of Tovarna dela – Tekstil (Work Factory – Textile Fabrics project). PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITION ON THE 3rd PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION - STUDENT EYE »100% ACTIVATION«

Pictures taken by young participants in the photographic competition tell stories about the way they get active during holidays, sport activities, while travelling, studying or doing voluntary work ... The pictures were examined and valued by an expert jury that chose 10 finalists and two main winners. You can see the selected pictures on the exhibition during Student Arena event.
 
EXHIBITION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF RESTORATION OF THE ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS AND DESIGN, UNIVERSITY OF LJUBLJANA (ALUO UL)

It has been 15 years since ALUO UL created the Restoration university study programme. Since then about 10 students enrol in this study programme every year. The material that will be put on view on the exhibition is our work. In the frame of the study subjects, together with the students we get to know how works of art were created, the most common kinds of damage we believe suitable for studying processing.
 
  18 JE ZAKON (18 IS THE LAW)
 
Študentska Arena agrees that 18 is the law! Selling alcohol to minors is forbidden by law. Nevertheless the juvenile affirm that it is (very) easy to get alcohol in shops and bars. Controlling everybody's identification documents must become a routine practice for shop and bar keepers as well as for buyers. 18 is the law on Študentska Arena too.
